In Habakkuk 3: 17-19, the prophet describes a quality of joyful, triumphant living, even in the middle of pressure, problems, stress and confusion.
He says, even if the crops fail….even if there are no lamb chops or hamburgers to eat. Even if we have a draught, Even if I don’t understand, yet I will rejoice in the Lord ! This is a wonderful truth that all of us need to learn. No matter what problems come our way, even if those trials don’t go away, we can still rejoice in the truth that our God is the great eternal Lord of the whole universe. Nothing is more comforting than to rest in the fact that “all things are under His control”.
I don’t know what you are going through today. It might be exceedingly frightening or stressful. Instead of saying, “Well, I’ll just have to get through this problem somehow”….we need to learn how to say, “God is going to lead me through this problem triumphantly”!
God doesn’t promise to take away all of our problems. God takes us boldly through our problems. He gives us the ability to overcome our problems. “In this world you will have trouble,” said Jesus. “But take heart ! I have overcome the world“. John 16:33
